     Scott A. Baxter, 54, of Mifflintown, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

     Born March 19, 1965, in Lewistown, he was a son of Loretta (Kyle) Baxter of Mifflintown and the late Andrew E. Baxter.

     In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Karen L. Yetter and husband, Craig, of Dover, Pa., and Amy C. Beward and husband, Brian A., of Middleburg, three nephews and two nieces, Brennan Yetter, Hunter Beward, Kyle Beward, Stephanie Kunder and husband, Christopher Bolinger, and Caitlyn Yetter, and one great-nephew, Corbin Kunder.

     Scott proudly served in the United States Navy.

     He drove truck and delivered locally for UPS. He was a member of Teamster's Union, Local 776.

     He was a beekeeper and the owner of Baxter's Bee Farm. He was a former manager of the PA Beekeeper's Association and was very active in the association activities at the farm show and other venues.

     He liked to travel and went to the Country Music Awards several times and attended Bike Week in Washington D.C. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His three dogs, Harley, Sasha, and Tucker,  were very important to him.

     His funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third Street, Mifflintown, with Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown, where full military honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veteran's Council.

     There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12 at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are respectfully encouraged to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.

I have many fond memories of Scott. We worked many years together at UPS. Scott was always smiling and had a good attitude. He was liked by all that met him. He will be missed. God Bless you Scott. So sorry for the Baxter families loss. Sending Prayers.
