     Thelma Arlene (Walters) DeLauter, 76, formerly of Port Royal, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

     Born Oct. 26, 1941, in Walker Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late John Samuel Sr. and Ida Pauline (Smith) Walters.

     Her husband, Donald P. DeLauter, whom she married Aug. 9, 1974, died on Jan. 30, 2015. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Walters, Jr.

     She is survived by three children, Kirk Lauver of Mifflin, Kris Lauver of Mifflintown, and Lisa Lauver and companion, Scott Russell, of East Waterford; six grandchildren, Ashley Lauver, Cody Lauver, David Lauver, Jonathan Lauver, Dustin Reeder, and Summer Reeder, three great-grandchildren, six siblings, Mary Ann Stoner and husband, Donald, of Mifflintown, Lester Walters and wife, Dorothy, of Marysville, James Walters Sr. and wife, Patty, of Port Royal, Donald Walters of Mifflintown, Ernie Walters and wife, Sheryl, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Dane Walters and wife, Ronda, of McAlisterville, and one sister-in-law, Linda Walters of Mifflintown.

     She graduated with honors from Juniata Joint High School in 1959 and worked at various places throughout her life.

     She enjoyed photography, walking in nature, collecting rocks and fossils, and loved animals and flowers. She had a heart of gold and was kind to everyone.

     Her funeral will be at 2 pm on Friday, May 11, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Rev. Ronald Shupe officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Lutheran Cemetery, Licking Creek Valley.

     There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Dr., Ste 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
