Mildred L. "Millie" Cubbison, 93, of Millerstown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Richfield Senior Living Center.

Born March 24, 1924 in Dimmsville, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd and Amey (Pyle) Pontius. Her husband, Arthur W. "Jay" Cubbison, died on April 21, 2004.

She is survived by two brothers, Paul Pontius and Marvin Pontius, four grandchildren, John Cubbison, Amy Whitworth, Michelle Fulton and Stephanie Bates, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild expected in February.

She worked at Arrow Shirt Factory in Lewistown.

She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Mustard Seeds Ladies Group of Faith Lutheran Church. She volunteered at Care and Share and served on the Greenwood Township Election Board.

Millie was an amazing seamstress who could sew anything. She crocheted many different items, often modifying or correcting the pattern. She enjoyed crafting and, using her vivid imagination, was always creating something or repurposing items.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Rev. Dr. Howard Woodruff officiating. Interment will be in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown. There will be no viewing.
