     John O. Yorks, Jr., 73, formerly of Mifflintown, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Hearthside Nursing Center, State College.

     He was born April 11, 1944.

     He is survived by his wife, Sara (Wagner) Yorks, three sons, Randall "Randy" Yorks, John "Johnny" Yorks and wife, Sue, and David "Dave" Yorks and wife, Annette, three grandchildren, Chelsea Yorks, Randy Yorks Jr., and Sasha Yorks, his mother, Blanche (Rothrock ) Yorks, ten siblings, Donald "Don" Yorks Sr. and wife, Carol, David "Dave" Yorks and wife, Brenda, Jake Yorks Sr. and wife, Nila, Clara "Sis" Schlegel and companion, Chris, Cora Yorks, Cloyd "Sandy" Yorks, Stanley "Mike" Yorks, Pearl Hall and husband, Greg, Barbara "Barb" Murphy, and Linda Fallon and husband, Tom.

     He was preceded in death by his father, John O. Yorks, Sr., one brother, Charles "Red" Yorks, Sr., and a grandson, Colt Yorks.

     After serving in the U.S. Army, John drove truck and collected trains and clocks.

     A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 20 at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third Street, Mifflintown, PA 17059 to help with the final expenses.
