     Kenneth B. Holsinger, 92, of Mifflintown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at the Bridges at Brookline.

     Born Sept. 15, 1924 in Lancaster Co., he was a son of the late Harry S. and Esther (Bushong) Holsinger.

      He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lottie (Goshorn) Holsinger, whom he married Dec. 2, 1978; two daughters, Sandy D. Holsinger and companion, Frank R. Edgell, and JoAnn Miller and husband, Ronald, all of Lancaster; two step-children, David B. Moist of Mifflintown and Janice P. Thompson and husband, Jerry, of Middletown, Delaware; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Jon Miller and wife, Amanda, and their children, Zachery and Taylor, of Florida, and Christine Cipoletti of Lancaster, and four siblings, Gladys Zimmerman, Betty Martin, John Holsinger, and Dan Holsinger.

     He was preceded in death by four siblings, Lois Booth, Philip Holsinger, Harry Holsinger as a young child, an infant sister, and his former wife, Eva (Lehman) Holsinger.

     Ken owned and operated Holsinger's Used Cars in East Petersburg and in Mifflintown. He worked for a number of other companies and was a jack of all trades.

     He was a member of Free Spring Church of the Brethren, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the East Petersburg Hiking Club, a former member of East Petersburg Church of the Brethren, and a life member of East Petersburg Fire Co. and the East Petersburg Lion's Club.

    His hands were always busy and he enjoyed driving cars, fixing cars, and tinkering with machines. When he was able, he enjoyed hunting.

    There will be a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov.12, at Free Spring Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Terry Smith, officiating. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Free Spring Church of the Brethren, c/o Becky Zeigler, treas., 670 Free Spring Church Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059.

     Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, has care of the arrangements.

Joanne & Sandy, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing! My sympathy goes out to you and your families. Remembering the good times at your farm when we were young, Janet & I always talked about those good times. Always remember the happy memories with your Dad, I will always remember him as a wonderful loving man.
