      Kathy L. Marker, 63, of Mill Creek, formerly of Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.

     She was born June 29, 1953 in Lewistown.

     She is survived by her mother, Betty J. (Bargo) Marker Swartz of Mifflintown; her loving caregivers, Walt and Jeannette Gladfelter of Mill Creek, one brother, Donald Swartz, Jr. and wife, Gale, of Mifflin; one sister, Kay Wood and husband, George, of Mifflin, and many nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her father, George E. Marker, one brother, Rick Marker, and her step-father, Donald Swartz, Sr.

     Kathy enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, camping, and spending time with her friends and family.

     There will be a viewing on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.

     The graveside service and interment at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Nook, with Pastor Judy Rowles officiating, will be at the convenience of the family.

     The family requests that those who desire make a contribution in memory of Kathy to One Dog At A Time, ODAAT, 225 Meadow Woods Drive, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Betty, I worked with Kathy many years ago in Huntingdon and I want to send my condolences for the loss of a wonderful girl who loved her music and life. She was one of my favorite people ever and I am so sorry for your loss. God bless.
