     Eileen Ann Irvin, 77, of Mountain View Road, Mifflintown, and formerly of Portage passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016.

     Born April 13, 1939, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Violet (Powell) Knepper.

    On December 6, 1986, she married her loving husband, Donald Ray Irvin, who survives. She is also survived by: her children, Glenn Leroy Krinjeck Jr. of Johnstown; John Ernest Krinjeck (Nancy) of Richfield; Susan Marie Gallihue (Dale) of West Virginia; Linda Marie Goughnour (Robert Jr.) of Mineral Point; Joan Marie Landis (Scott) of Mifflin, and James John Krinjeck (Melissa) of Port Royal; grandchildren, Glenny, Josh, John, Kim, Vince, Shannon, Bobby, Joe, Sherry, Nikki, Kirsten, Jimmy, Trace, Scottie, and Elizabeth and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as her ever-present canine companion, Ginger.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, Glenn Leroy Krinjeck Sr.; a sister, Mary Gill; and a brother, Michael Griffith.

     Eileen formerly worked at Mount Aloysius College as a cook and as a home-health aide, but she was primarily a home-maker who excelled at gardening, crafts, knitting, ceramics, painting and decorating. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved helping them throughout her life.

     There will be a viewing on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a service at 8 p.m. at  Guss Funeral Home , Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Newton Hamilton Cemetery.
