Venessa D. (Buck) Clouser

     Venessa D. Clouser, 84, of Mifflintown, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

     Born June 23, 1938 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Ernest C. and Margaret (George) Buck.

     She is survived by her husband, Robert R. “Bob” Clouser, whom she married March 29, 1979, two children, Leon E. Zimmerman and wife, Kate, and Tami L. Saner and husband, Roger, one sister, Wanda Witmer and husband, Russell, three brothers, Ernest T. Buck, Alfred Buck and wife, Gail, and Edward Buck and wife, Angela, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by one son, Barry G. Zimmerman, one brother, Bernard Buck, and three sisters, Theresa Gemberling, Catherine Shafer, and Larena Reeder.

     Venessa graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1956 and was a seamstress at Lyon Fashions in Mifflintown and McAlisterville.

     She was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and volunteered at Abundant Blessings for many years.

     She enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching birds, painting folk art, fishing and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

      Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Richard Adams officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.

     There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 8489 Licking Creek Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
