Patrick "Pat" Thomas Delaney

     Patrick T. “Pat” Delaney, 74, of Port Royal, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

     He was born on June 20, 1949, in Reading, Pa.

     He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer O’Donell and husband, Allen, of Port Royal, Victoria Hammond and husband, David, of Mifflintown, and Angela Swyers and husband, Roger, of Reedsville, two sisters, Michelle Sturgill and husband, Wayne, and Melanie Kinard and husband, Kris, all of South Carolina, nine grandchildren, Alisha, Amanda, Aaron, Dakota, Macy, Patrick, Haley, Jessica and Erica, twelve great-grandchildren, and his significant other, Maggie Melette.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Delaney, on May 10, 1995, his father, Francis Delaney, his mother, Betty (Heck) Lehman, his step-father, David Lehman, one sister, Mona Lee, and an infant brother, Michael Delaney.

     Pat was a truck driver and owned AVJ Trucking in Mifflintown.

     He recently finished restoring his 1957 Chevrolet and he loved spending time with his family and his dogs, Rosie and Boo.

     There will be a viewing at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Judy Rowles officiating. Interment will be in East Waterford Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
