Margaret "Margie" S. (Wagner) Lowrey

     Margaret S. “Margie” Lowrey, 80, of Mifflintown, died Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

     Born May 21, 1942 in Dogtown, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Rebecca (Barefoot) Wagner, Sr. Her husband of 54 years, Jackson "Jack" C. Lowrey, whom she married on Oct. 31, 1960, died on Nov. 16, 2014.

     She is survived by three children, Joanne M. White of Harrisburg, Doug J. Lowrey of Mifflin and Tammy S. Ehrenzeller of Port Royal, one sister, Rebecca “Becky” O’Donnell of Mifflintown, five grandchildren, Shayla White, Anthony White, Bryttani Stimeling, Kyle Ehrenzeller, and Derrike Ehrenzeller, and five great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton Wagner, Jr. and one sister, Sara Yorks.

     Margie was a seamstress in various local clothing factories.

     She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown, and volunteered with Meals On Wheels.

     She loved animals, working in her garden and tending to her flowers. She especially loved spending time with her sisters.

    Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Mindy Petrovcic officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
