With our pre-planning options, you can have the peace of mind that your funeral services are taken care of and planned for, alleviating your friends and loved ones of making decisions concerning what you may have wanted in your final tribute. When you make an appointment, you will be presented with options from asking questions as to what a viewing and funeral entail, to setting aside money in a burial reserve allowing future decisions to be made, to pre-planning and pre-paying in full your entire service, down to the choice of casket, songs, service, and final wishes. Money can be protected for your final expenses either through a burial reserve certificate of deposit in the bank of your choice or in a burial insurance policy or annuity. We offer a wide variety of options for you to consider regarding cremations, from a direct cremation (in which the deceased is cremated and the cremains returned to the family for whatever private memorial or remembrance they choose) to a full viewing and funeral with cremation as the final disposition. While we do not have a crematory on site, you or your loved one will be treated with the utmost respect, diligence and dignity by one of several of our peers. At Guss Funeral Home, Inc., we believe that dignity extends beyond death.

Our traditional services offer a variety of choices as well, and general standard services include a viewing/visitation, service, and interment at the cemetery, and you may build to or eliminate some of these services to meet your needs. At Guss Funeral Home, Inc., you also have the option to personalize your loved one’s service with the inclusion of picture boards and memorabilia tables, in an effort to aid in the grieving process.

Death needn’t be a scary, feared concept. Not only will we work with your family in related tasks of ordering death certificates, contacting third parties, including social security and insurance companies, and helping to complete military forms, we also invest ourselves in the education of the community towards the concept of death. We have brochures and literature on death and the practices of our profession, as well as answers to questions young children may ask when faced with mortality for the first time.
