He is survived by his wife, Gloria J. (Kinsloe) Swailes, whom he married April 26, 1952; seven children, Warren Swailes, Jr. and wife, Jodie, of Mifflintown, Kathy Marshall and husband, Walter, of Mifflin, Samuel Swailes and wife, Stacey, of McClure, Thomas Swailes and wife, Kathy, of Mifflintown, Steven Swailes and wife, Sara, of McClure, Donald Swailes and wife, Patricia, of Mifflintown, and Debra Ross and husband, Michael, of Mifflintown, one sister, Martha Weiand, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

During his life, Warren worked as a chicken farmer, a mechanic, and a tree trimmer with Asplundh Tree Company.
He enjoyed hanging out with his faithful four-legged companion, Sugar, going to flea markets and yard sales with his wife, tinkering in his garage, collecting Cub Cadets and remodeling his Farmall tractor that he entered in many parades. Camping with his whole family was a huge past-time in his younger years. By far, his favorite thing to do was spoiling all the grandchildren.
