Wanda G. Imes Williams, 61, of Mifflin, peacefully passed away after a long hard fight against cancer on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Nov. 21, 1958 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Paul R. and Betty L. (Gray) Imes.
She is survived by four siblings, John Yohn of Mifflintown, Tonnie Baumgardner of Roy, Utah, P. Randy Imes and wife, Dawn, of Mifflintown, and D. Terry Imes and wife, Janet, of Port Royal and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dick and Gary Yohn.
Wanda graduated from Juniata High School in 1976. She was a pipeliner and retired after working 27 years with Edwards Pipeline as an X-ray technician.
She was a member of Millerstown Moose, Chapter 21.
In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball, riding her horse and was an avid pool shark. She loved her dogs, Cocoa, Mickey D, and Jojo.
Following her wish to be cremated, the family will celebrate her life with a gathering at the home of her brother, Terry Imes. Please call for information.
In lieu of flowers, those who desire are asked to make a memorial contribution to a charity that benefits animals.
