Virginia A. “Ginny” “Nan” Nace, 58, of Honey Grove, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Feb. 22, 1963, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Glenn A. and Ellen Pauline (Forry) Nace.
She is survived by her son, Richard J. Nace, of Honey Grove and Carrie Wakefield, who was like a daughter to Gin, one sister, Wilma Claybaugh and husband, Nathan, of Thompsontown, one brother, Robert Nace and wife, Jennifer, of Oriental, one half-brother, David Nace of Richfield, nieces and nephews, Christina Mazzulla and husband, Mike, Kimberly Claybaugh and fiancé, Joshua McNemar, Deborah Nace, Zachary Nace and fiancé, Elizabeth Lynch, Heather Nace, Brandon Nace, Sarah Nace, Angela Nace, and Allison Nace, three great nieces and three great-nephews, Rachel Goss, Joshua Foltz, Jr., Michael Goss, Aaden McNemar, Leah McNemar, and Vivian Nace and two great-great nieces, Koraline Michitsch, and Isabella Foltz, and one great-great-nephew, Colson Foltz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Chubb, one brother, Charles A. Nace, one sister, Deborah C. Nace, and one niece, Rebecca Nace.
She graduated from Juniata High School in 1983.
Ginny worked as a clerk for District Magistrate Betty Gingrich, and delivered the Lewistown Sentinel for many years.
In her younger years, she attended the Church of the Open Doors at Evendale and the Assembly of God Church in Mifflintown.
She enjoyed her flower gardens and loved her pets, especially her four dogs, Trouble, Warrior, Titan, and Lakota, and her cat, Boog. She collected Elvis memorabilia and loved listening to his songs. She especially loved to spend time with her family.
Her service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Rev. Mike Neimond officiating. Interment will be in Richfield Union Cemetery.
There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home.
