Velma L. Suloff, 95, of Denholm, formerly of South Third Street, Mifflintown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at her home.
Born Jan. 23, 1925, in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Herman H. and Maude (Hostetler) Harshbarger.
She is survived by a daughter Barbara S. Geedey and husband Don of Mifflintown; one sister Nancy Bullard of Fresno, CA and one brother H. Ross Harshbarger and wife Sylvia of Belleville; two grandchildren Melissa Ehrisman and husband Stanley {Bean} and Aaron Geedey and wife Meghan; five grandchildren Caden, Drew and Josslyn Geedey and Hannah and Carter Ehrisman as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Henry and Lucy Harshbarger.
Velma graduated from the Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed reading, doing acrostic puzzles, knotting quilts for the church and especially spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a future time.
