Tambra L. “Tami” Zimmerman, 63, of Thompsontown, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 20, 1961, she was a daughter of the late Robert Paul Zimmerman and Tonda (Hower) Stroh.
She is survived by her companion of 41 years, Michael W. Leister, three children, Alisha Niman, Michael Niman (Heather) and Seth Leister (Brittany), six grandchildren, Alayna, Landon, Jaxton, Wesley, Brantley, and Bristol, one sister, Cindy Zimmerman, one half-sister, Tressen Stroh, and one half-brother, Tommy Stroh.
Tami graduated from Juniata High School in 1979 and was an insurance adjustor for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
She enjoyed flower gardening, but the most important thing in her life was her family. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially with her grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Rt 35 North, Mifflintown
