Shirley M. (Burris) Kauffman

     Shirley M. (Burris) Kauffman, 70, formerly of Thompsontown, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, at William Penn Healthcare, Lewistown.

     Born Nov. 8, 1953 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Howard A. and Ruth E. (Garman) Burris.

     She is survived by two children, Shirley E. Kauffman and Robert Kauffman, four sisters and one brother, Joanne Curl, Peggy Troy, Betty Burris, Mary Lose, and Harold Burris, one granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

     She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister, Bill Burris, Donald Burris, Richard Burris, Danny Burris, Florence Strunk and Robert Burris, and her companion, Devin Myers.

     Shirley enjoyed drawing, coloring, shopping, eating out and especially spending time with family.

     Her service will be private.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059 to help with the final expenses.
