Sharon L. Depew, 69, of Mifflintown, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born April 11, 1955 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late James R. and J. Arlene (Kreps) Wheeler.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert R. “Bob” Depew, whom she married Jan. 8, 1977. Also surviving are one daughter, Tina Depew and husband, Bradley Schaeffer, one son, Brian Depew and wife, Erin, two grandchildren, Brooklynn Depew and Nathan Depew, one step-grandson, Devin Schaeffer, one brother, James Wheeler and wife, Verna, one sister, Carol Mater and husband, Kelly, and her brother-in-law, Bob Muckel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly A. Muckel.
Sharon worked in various jobs at GE and retired as a production worker.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mifflintown.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and visiting Myrtle Beach.
Her graveside service and interment will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown with Pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating. If you wish to be seated for the service, please bring a chair.
There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
