Scott Nevin Kennedy

     Scott Nevin Kennedy, 68, of Lewistown, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

     Born Dec. 26, 1957, he was a son of the late Daniel and Jessie (Swartz) Kennedy.

     He is survived by his wife, Linda (Guss) Kennedy, whom he married Sept. 20, 1986, one daughter and her family, Stacey Kelley (Olivio) and children, Sausha, Shiann, Sondra, and Soriah, of East Waterford, four sons and their families, Eric Kennedy (Esther) and children, Ava, Liam, and Mia, of State College, Matthew Forsythe (Erin) and children, Wyatt, Brendan, Gabriel, and Lilly of Oxford, Brandon Forsythe (Janelle) and children, Garrett, Teagan, and Cael, of Mill Hall, and Caleb Forsythe (Stephanie) and daughter, Catelyn of Spring Valley, Ohio, eight great-grandchildren, Mason, Liam, Huntley, Noah, Jaxtyn, Olivia, Kennedy, and Hardin, one sister, Desiree Mummah (Ronald) and nieces, Danielle Zimmerman (Shane) and Rhonda Ehrenzeller (Martin), all of Port Royal.

     Scott graduated from Juniata High School. He retired in 2023 as the supervising custodian at Mifflin Co. Junior High School.

     He was a member of Union Lodge #324 F.&A.M.

     He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and going to flea markets and yard sales, to both buy and sell items.

     The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Judy Rowles officiating. Interment will follow in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
