Samuel G. Kint, 86, of Mifflintown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born Nov. 20, 1939, in Honey Grove, he was a son of the late Gerald P. and Kathryn I. “Kate” (Towsey) Kint.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Stuck) Kint, whom he married Nov. 24, 1989, one son, Robert S. Kint and wife, Lori, one stepson, Scott W. Weidner and wife, Michelle, two grandchildren, Kyle V. Kint and Mia N. Kint, three step-grandchildren, Amanda M. Ierley and husband, Joseph, Elizabeth N. Fogle and husband, Zachary, and Zane A. Lauver, one great-granddaughter, and two step-greatgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James E. Kint, one sister, Linda Buckner, one granddaughter, Rachael P. Weidner, and one step-daughter, Michelle Elsasser.
He graduated from Juniata Joint High School and attended Humbolt Institute.
Sam served in the Air National Guard from April 5, 1957 to May 1, 1959.
He was a self-employed business owner and a director on the Pennian Bank Board.
He enjoyed flying helicopters and small planes and spending time on his farms.
His service will be private with interment in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook, with Pastor Jimmy Neimond officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sam’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
