Ronda Beth Walters, 56, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at her home near McAlisterville, surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 21, 1963, in Sioux Center, Iowa, and raised in Hospers, she is a daughter of Sharon (Boeyink) Van’t Hof of Hospers, Iowa, and the late Ronald Van’t Hof.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Dane Walters, whom she married Aug. 20, 2005, one son, Thomas A. Bierma and wife, Betsey, of Harrisburg, one daughter, Katie Wirt and husband, Eric, of Thompsontown, two step-sons, Rich Walters and wife, Becca, of McAlisterville and Douglas Walters of Camp Hill, one brother, David A. Van’t Hof and wife, Janet Patton, of Star, Idaho, one sister, Sharla R. Kleinwolterink and husband, Jay, of Hospers, Iowa, and seven grandchildren, Hannah, Haylee, Noah, Blaine, Brandon, Astian, and Arizona.
She is also survived by her husband’s siblings and their spouses, Mary Ann and Donald Stoner of Mifflintown, Lester and Dorothy Walters of Marysville, James and Patty Walters of Port Royal, Donald Walters of Mifflintown, Paul “Ernie” Walters and wife, Sheryl, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Linda Walters of Mifflintown.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Van’t Hof, her parents-in law, John and Pauline Walters, her brother-in-law, John Walters, Jr. and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Thelma Arlene (Walters) DeLauter.
Ronda was a homemaker and worked as a teacher’s aide with Head Start.
She was a member of River Church where she was active with the welcome team and two life groups.
She enjoyed having coffee with church ladies, sending cards, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, her family, her loving best friend and husband, Dane, and her beloved dog, Molly.
Her service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at River Church, 105 CJEMS Lane, Mifflintown, with Pastor Bob Landis officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at River Church and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services at the church.
