Roma J. (Fisher) Kirk

     Roma J. Kirk, 86, of Port Royal, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.

     Born Nov. 20, 1936 in Tuscarora Township, Juniata Co., she was the only child of the late Jessie (Meminger) Fisher. Her husband, Bruce A. Kirk, whom she married June 1, 1957, died on Dec. 3, 2022.

     She is survived by one son, Rob Kirk and wife, Debra, of Port Royal, her daughter-in-law, Wendy (Henry) Kirk, wife of the late Stephen Kirk, of Port Royal, four grandchildren, Danielle (Kirk) Keefer and husband, Bill, Chad Kirk and wife, Teagan, Dustin Kirk and Caleb Kirk, all of Port Royal, and two great-grandchildren, Paislee and Rory.

     She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffrey Albert Kirk.

     Roma graduated from Tuscarora Valley High School and retired from Empire Kosher Poultry. She spent many years selling grandstand tickets for the Port Royal Speedway and Juniata Co. Fair.

     She enjoyed cross stitching, reading, puzzles, baking, bus trips, and baseball games, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family.

     Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown with Rev. Donald Walters officiating. Interment will be in East Waterford Cemetery.

     There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
