Rodney Aughey, 71, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
A lifelong resident of Juniata County, he was the son of the late Paul and Minerva Aughey.
He is survived by his wife, Georgean, a daughter, Robin and granddaughter, Bryn; two sisters, Sharon and Lisa, and his nieces and nephews.
He had a deep connection to the homestead that had been in his family for many generations and a passion for the birds and springtime blooms.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 8489 Licking Creek Road, Mifflintown, with Rev. Sam Leister officiating. There will be no viewing.
