Robert R. “Rob” Hackenberger, IV, 54, formerly of Mexico, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at his home near Mifflintown surrounded by his loving family.
Born Jan. 26, 1971, in Lewistown, he was a son of Judy (Swailes) Zimmerman and the late Robert R. “Ham” Hackenberger III.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rhonda E. Bell, two children, Kala Smith and Drew R. Hackenberger and companion, Tori Kuhn, three grandchildren, Jacee Price, Heeth Smith, and Willow Hackenberger, and many special friends.
He worked for Asplundh Tree Service for more than 30 years and was a member of the Owls Club in Lewistown.
He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing guitar, camping at Raystown, and playing pool at the Owls Club. His family was very important to him.
His family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. There will be no public viewing and there will not be a formal service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
