Rebecca "Becky" J. (Fultz) Burd

     Rebecca J. “Becky” (Fultz) Burd, 95, of Mifflintown, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2020, at the Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.

     Born March 22, 1925, in Naginey, she was a daughter of the late Adam Wayne and Mary Elizabeth (Wagner) Fultz. Her husband of 74 years, Abraham S. “Abe” Burd, whom she married on April 25, 1942, died on August 28, 2016.

     She is survived by two daughters, Sara Jane Miller and husband, Victor, of Mechanicsburg and Debbie S. Shirk and husband, Ron, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; four siblings, Althalia Specht of Lewistown, Bertha Pennypacker of Belleville, Charles Fultz of Reedsville, and Sherman Fultz of Mifflintown, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

     She was a member of Thompsontown Baptist Church.

     Becky’s greatest joy was her family.

     Her graveside service and interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, at Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal, with Pastor Don Henrikson officiating. There will be no viewing.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thompsontown Baptist Church, 269 Birch Drive, Thompsontown, Pa.17094.
