A service to celebrate the life of Paul Frederick Marshall, 73, of Mifflintown, (Oct. 13, 1947- Jan. 3, 2021) will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at the Juniata Co. Sportsmen’s Association clubhouse, 9891 Rt 333, Port Royal, PA 17082.
Paul Frederick “Fred” Marshall, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.
Born Oct. 13, 1947, in Nook, he was a son of the late Paul H. and Grace (Broadecker) Marshall.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane L. (Beasom) Marshall, whom he married June 11, 1966, one son, Paul F. “Junior” Marshall and wife, Tammy, of Mifflintown, one daughter, Barbara D. “Barbie” Marshall of Mifflin, one grandson, Jonathan Marshall, and one brother, Walter Marshall and wife, Kathy, of Mifflin.
Fred graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1965.
He was a self-employed carpenter who also worked for J Wood and RamWood. He was the Mayor of Mifflintown for several terms.
He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he served in many positions with the church and Sunday school over the years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and belonged to the Juniata Co. Sportsmen’s Association.
A private graveside service and interment with Pastor Nancy McClure was held at Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
