Patti S. Cooper,72, of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Country Meadows of West Shore.
Born March 6, 1952, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Edwin C. “Ned” and Lucille V. “Sis” (McCahren) Cooper. Also preceding her in death were one brother, Francis L. Cooper and one sister, Marilyn Jane Cooper.
She is survived by five children, Chad Cooper (Melissa), Paul Cox, Matthew Cooper (Sara), Joseph Cooper (Jamie) and Rachael Cooper, one sister, Jo Anne Cooper, one brother, Gary Cooper, her sister-in-law, Jane Cooper, and seven grandchildren.
Patti graduated from Juniata High School in 1970 and from Penn State University.
She started working as a brakeman on the railroad. On April 23, 1984, she went to work at the Navy Depot where she worked as a computer specialist for NAVSUP Business Systems Center until she retired on July 31, 2020.
She was an avid Penn State fan and enjoyed reading, remodeling her house, and spending time with her grandchildren.
There will be a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook.
