Patricia 'Pat' Ann (Regester) Baney

     Patricia Ann “Pat” Baney, 88, of Thompsontown, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.

     Born Jan. 4, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Charles Clarence and Mary Jane (Dilman) Regester. Her husband, Roy Lester Baney, whom she married Dec. 8, 1953, died March 1, 2000. Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Charles “Bud” Regester, Harry Regester, Robert “Bob” Regester, William “Bill” Regester, and Lewis “Lew” Regester, one great-granddaughter, Gabby Baney, and one daughter-in-law, Jane Ann Baney.

     She is survived by three sons, John E. Baney of Millerstown, Roy R. “Randy” Baney and wife, Penny, of Thompsontown, and Michael K. Baney of Thompsontown, three grandsons, Nathan Baney, Jeremy Baney, and Josh Baney and four great-grandchildren, Mason and Roen Baney and Lincoln and Rory Baney.

     Pat had worked at the McAlisterville Restaurant, the Corner Deli, Juniata Concrete, and cleaned houses.

     She was a member of Thompsontown United Methodist Church where she served as the custodian for many years. She was instrumental in organizing the Cystic Fibrosis Bike-a-thon in Thompsontown.

     She enjoyed baking, cleaning, gardening, and taking care of her flowers. Her shih tzu dog, Cody, was her constant companion.

     Following Pat’s wishes she is being cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Thompsontown United Methodist Church with Pastor Donald Walters officiating.
