Michael Lee Allen Stein, 51, of Mifflintown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025.
Born May 6, 1974, in Lewistown, he is a son of Jolene Crozier and the late Merle William Stein.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Samantha (Pry) Stein, whom he married October 5, 2022. Also surviving are three children, Alexzandera Irene Stein, Cody Marshall Stein, and Gage Michael Stein, one step-son, Hudson Soccio, one granddaughter, Ella Rae Joseph, four siblings, Staci Priest, Andrea Heckman, Beth Stein, and Erica Stein, his step-mother, Sherry Stein, his parents-in-law, Rodney and Sally Pry, as well as nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Michael was very proud of the many years that he spent building cellphone towers for Capital Towers and would often point out the ones that he helped to build not only in Pennsylvania but up and down the east coast. Michael also worked as a concrete finisher for Gingrich Concrete of McAlisterville and loved to point out with pride the work that they had done across the area over the years.
Michael was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at their family cabin in the woods where many special memories were made. One of his pride and joys was his dog, Loki, whom he enjoyed taking on long walks through the country. Michael was also very proud of his collection of RC cars and spent a lot of time with friends working on the outdoor course that they built and maintained together. Michael loved and adored his family and cherished every moment that he spent with them, from calling his mother to chat every day to learning how to follow his kids around on Life360, he was fiercely loyal and protective of everyone that he loved. The day that he was promoted from 'Dad' to 'Papaw' was one of the best days of his life and he would beam with pride to speak of his sweet granddaughter Ella Rae.
The family is planning to have a Celebration of Life service for Michael sometime in the future.
