Melody A. Leister

     Melody A. Leister, 57, of Mifflintown, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her home after a courageous four year battle with cancer.

     She was born March 19, 1967 in Lewistown.

     She is survived by her mother, Connie Leister Dalton, two children, Dane Cisney and Chelsea Cisney, one granddaughter, one sister, Tammy Leister, and her good friends, Donna, Bonnie, Karl, and Guy.

     She was preceded in death by her step-father, John Dalton, Sr..

     Melody worked at various jobs including as an aide at Brookline Manor and as a claims examiner at Blue Shield.

     Those who knew Mel knew that she enjoyed working with her flowers and plants, delighted in wearing jewelry and loved her dogs, Riggs and Buddy.

     Melody has generously donated her body for medical research. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
