MaryJane Catherine Hopple, 80, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at her home in Mexico.
She was born June 8, 1942 in Huntingdon.
She is survived by three children, Tim Hopple and wife, Nina, of Mexico, Pa., Scott Hopple and wife, Lori, of Port Royal, and Karen Swartz of Mexico, Pa. and her husband, Palmer Swartz, two sisters, Judy Glover and husband, James, of McVeytown and Lucy Knepp and husband, George Manning III of Beaver Springs, one half-brother, Ralph David “Sonny” Varner of Huntingdon, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley C. Hopple, on Aug. 16, 2019, her father, James Harrison Childers, her mother, Keturah (Eaton) Childers Varner, one grandson, David Hosler, and one great-grandson, Tyler Hopple.
She worked for Skills as a helper and caretaker.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, going shopping, reading True Crimes, playing solitaire on her phone and was a good cook. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved her Terrier dog, Baby.
Honoring her request, there will be no service.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
