Mary E. (Stong) Worley

     Mary E. Worley, 71, of Port Royal, entered the presence of the Lord, on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

     Born Aug. 6, 1952 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Miles and Ruth (Walters) Stong.

     She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Brian D. Worley, whom she married May 2, 1987, one daughter, Laura Cameron and husband, Michael, one son, Craig Rowles, one sister, Janetta Stong Swartz, six grandchildren, and two nephews.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Alice A. Kelley, two infant sons, Benjamin Rowles and Baby Boy Stong, and one nephew, Michael Stong.

     She graduated from Juniata High School in 1970 and worked many years as a private care giver and as a CNA at Locust Grove Retirement Village and at Lewistown Hospital.

     She was a member of Lighthouse Community Church for more than 30 years.

     Mary enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

     Her private funeral will be at the convenience of the family with Pastor Jeff Henry officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-1942 or to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, PO Box 947765 Atlanta, GA 30394.
