Mary R. McNaight Kleckner, 100, of Honey Grove passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Greenwood Village, Lewistown.
Born July 8, 1923 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Alice L. Foster and Jackson G. Heffner. Her first husband, Harry C. McNaight, Sr., died on May 6, 1982 and her second husband, Sylvester J. “Jake” Kleckner, died on Oct. 7, 2011.
She is survived by four children, Glenn E. McNaight and wife, Linda, of Huntingdon, Harry C. McNaight, Jr. and wife, Marie, of Mifflintown, Judy A. Kerlin of Port Royal, and Vicky A. and husband, Donald “Butch” Quigley, of Honey Grove, two step-children, Darlene L. Wright and husband, John, and Debra L. Swartz, all of Millerstown, six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy L. McNaight, an infant brother, Harry, three step-brothers, Glenn, Larry, and Richard Heffner and one son-in-law, Craig Kerlin.
She graduated from Lewistown High School in 1942 and worked as a collar setter in various local sewing factories.
She was a member of Locust Run Church.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, and going to the Four Seasons Senior Center when she was able. She especially loved being with her family.
Her graveside service and interment will be at 10 am on Saturday, July 6, at Locust Run Cemetery with Pastor Dan Kerlin officiating. There will be no viewing.
The family will provide all flowers and requests that contributions in Mary’s name be made to Locust Run Church, 25 Locust Run Road, Thompsontown, PA 17094, the Four Seasons Senior Center, 47 CJEMS Lane, Mifflintown, PA 17059 or 365 Hospice, 220 Regent Ct, State College, PA 16801.
