Lorraine H. (Burdge) Henry

     Lorraine H. Henry, 89, of Licking Creek, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.

     She was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Cross Keys.

     She is survived by two daughters, Gail Henry and Suzanne Henry, both of Port Royal, two granddaughters, Cora Henry Condran and husband, Joshua, and Nancy Noss, three great-grandsons, Noah, Samuel, and Jessie, and two brothers, Alonzo Burdge Jr. and Leslie Burdge.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Henry, her parents, Alonzo W. “AW” and Cora (Eaton) Burdge, two brothers, Theron Burdge and David Burdge, and two sisters, Mary Stimeling and Martha Harvey.

     Lorraine graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1950. She was a seamstress at Juniata Garment and Lyon Fashions, an assistant secretary at Juniata High School, and worked in the laundry at Locust Grove Retirement Village.

     She enjoyed sewing, loved taking care of her chickens and had a green thumb with her flowers and garden.

     Her service will be private and held at the convenience of the family with interment in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Juniata Meals On Wheels, PO Box 251, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
