Karl Edward Kerchner, 61, of Thompsontown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at his home.
He was born Dec. 1, 1959, in Lewistown.
He is survived by his wife, Patti M. (Eisenhart) Kerchner, whom he married Nov. 7, 1987, one son, Jerome E. Kerchner and wife, Addy, of McAlisterville, his father and step-mother, Jerome “Jerry” and Carolyn Kerchner of Stevensville, Md., one sister, Karen DeLeon and husband, Mike, one half-brother, Todd Kerchner and wife, Sally, one step-brother, Mark Horny, and a sister-in-law, Cathy Kerchner.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel (Stouffer) Kerchner Smith and one brother, Ken Kerchner.
Karl graduated from Juniata High School in 1979 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He worked as an electrician and general handyman.
He was a member of Cedar Grove Brethren In Christ Church, Mifflintown, and was active with a church group of men of faith who met weekly for prayer and fellowship.
He enjoyed woodworking and photography.
His memorial service will be private with Pastor Ken Hepner officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
