Joseph A. “Joe” Price, 90, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Mifflintown, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born January 6, 1935 in Bedford, he was a son of the late George and Mellie Dee (McCracken) Price. His wife, Jacquelin L. “Jackie” (Kennedy) Price, whom he married Oct. 9, 1971, passed away on May 5, 2019. Also preceding him in death were three grandchildren, Kelly Shotsberger, Curtis Shotsberger and Cassandra Wilson, one brother, Dick Price, and one sister, Ann Wert.
He is survived by three children, Annette Mease (David), Dean Wilson (Tina) and Cathi Wilson, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.
Joe was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served two tours of duty, one of them in Viet Nam.
He was retired and had worked at Standard Steel and McDonald’s.
He was a member of the VFW and American Legion, both in Mifflintown.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR and football.
His viewing will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2, with his funeral at 11 a.m. at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Mindy Petrovcic officiating. Interment will follow in Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown, where full military honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
