John R. Thompson

     John R. Thompson, 68, of Millerstown, died Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.

     Born Oct, 9, 1954, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Paul M. and Thelma P. (Hart) Thompson.

     He is survived by his twin sister, Joan T. Dill of Northumberland and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, William Dill.

     He graduated from Juniata High School, Mifflintown, in 1972.

     John retired from the U.S. Postal service where he was a mail carrier in Harrisburg.

     He enjoyed hunting, dirt track racing and especially spending time with his family and friends.

     Following his wishes, there will be a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14 at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. There will be no service. Burial will be in Locust Run Cemetery at the convenience of the family
