John E. Clark, 70, of Newville, formerly of Mifflin, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at UPMC Carlisle Hospital.
Born March 2, 1951, in Lewistown, he was the only child of the late Harry E. and Mary (Britcher) Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Tabb) Clark, whom he married Aug. 28, 1976, one daughter, Melissa Hurley and husband, Brian, of Ickesburg, one son, Michael Clark and wife, Runa, of Asheboro, NC, four grandchildren, David, Alexander, and Jacob Hurley, and Arianna Clark, with another grandchild expected soon.
John was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He worked for the Pa. Department of Revenue in computer operations.
He attended the Newville Assembly of God Church and was a member of the NRA.
He enjoyed woodcrafts, his computer, and reading. The most important thing to him was his family whom he loved dearly.
Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, followed by a Celebration of Life service with Rev. Jeffrey W. Kettering officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
