Jodie L. Swailes, 54, of Mifflintown, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born Jan. 2, 1967, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late James L. and Minerva (Strawser) Hile.
She is survived by her husband, Warren D. Swailes, Jr., whom she married Oct. 8, 1994, one step-son, Kevin D. Swailes and wife, Kathleen, of Mifflintown, two grandsons, Nathan D. and Caden C. Swailes, two special aunts, Sheila J. Foltz and companion, Charles G. Wise, Sr., of Duncannon and Bonnie Kiner and husband, Terry, of Liverpool, and many other extended loving family members.
Jodie graduated from Greenwood High School. She was a seamstress in various local sewing factories. She worked for Excel Modular Homes and most recently was employed by Professional Building Systems, Middleburg.
She enjoyed going to yard sales, baking, making peanut butter fudge, and her yearly trip with her husband to Benezette to see the elk. She spent a lot of time with her Pomeranian dog, Brandy, and loved her family dearly, especially her grandsons.
The family will not be present, but there will be a viewing on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
Her funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Guss Funeral Home with Vicar Sam Leister officiating.
Interment will be in Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown.
