Jill Leslie Thompson

Jill Leslie Thompson, 56, of East Waterford, passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born April 15, 1966 in Lewistown, she is a daughter of Betty (Peck) Thompson of East Waterford and the late Jack R. Thompson.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Leister and husband Michael, niece Jessica (Rice) Lee and husband Stanley, niece Jennifer Piper and husband Jason, great nieces and nephew Josie Rice, Julia Rice, Olivia Piper and Connor Piper as well as her fiancé of many years, Carl Hosler all of East Waterford.  In addition to her father, Jill was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Jill graduated from Juniata High School in 1984.  She was a former EMT with East Waterford Ambulance, a member of the Lack-Tuscarora EMS and Faith United Methodist Church.

Jill enjoyed cooking, vegetable gardening, flea marketing and yard sales, campfires and mountain pies in the summer and Christmas time.  Her true enjoyment came from time spent with her family and friends.

She had an unwavering faith in God, immeasurable strength, a contagious smile and the most joyous laughter.  Jill loved life and found the most pleasure in the simplest things.  She always put others wants and needs before her own.  Jill was never short on kindness.  She has set an inspiring example to everyone on how we should live.  She will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. and a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Lack-Tuscarora EMS, 9320 Route 75 S, East Waterford with Pastor Graham Fowler officiating.  Interment will follow at the East Waterford Cemetery.
