Janette K. Gentry

    Janette K. Gentry, 67, of Mifflintown, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Brookline Manor after a brief illness.

     Born Sept. 21, 1958 in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late James Oliver and Mary (Fite) Gentry.

     She is survived by her life partner, Sandra J. Miller, two brothers, David Gentry and wife, Adrian, of Ollie, Iowa, and Thomas Gentry and wife, Ruth, of Quarryville, one sister, Joyce Vinelli of Lititz and several nieces and nephews.

     Janette graduated from Solanco High School in 1976 and from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1980.

     She was a CPA and partner in Miller-Gentry CPA’s, Mifflintown.

     She was a member of the PA Institute of CPA’s, the American Red Cross, and the Port Royal Book Club.

     Janette enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, photography and was an avid reader.

     There will be a viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, at Cedar Grove Brethren In Christ Church, 287 Deerville Road, Mifflintown.

     Her funeral will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Mindy Petrovcic officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
