Janet Lois Apple

     Janet L. Apple, 84, of McAlisterville, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at her home.

     Born Dec. 7, 1937, in Richfield, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd and Stella (Derr) Apple.

     She is survived by two children, Pamela Rice and husband, Paul, of McAlisteville and Douglas Brubaker and wife, Tonda, of Mifflintown, two sisters, Glendora Lauver of Mifflintown, and Norma Sheaffer and husband, Gerald, of Richfield, six grandchildren, Eric Brubaker and wife, Rachel, Angie Reinford and husband, Drew, Mike Brubaker and wife, Sarah, Cody Brubaker, Jeremiah Rice and wife, Brea, and Nyana Rice, and twelve great-grandchildren, Josh, Caleb, and Zach Brubaker, Grace, Colton, Emma and Julianna Reinford, Carson Brubaker, Rustin Rice, Braylynn Berry, Ryan Greising, and Kendra Gebhart.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B. Max Crozier on Dec. 11, 2003, four sisters, Mary Hoffman, Helen Hoffman, Naomi Graybill, and Olive Hibbs, and four brothers, Elmer Apple, Albert Apple, Reno Apple, and Herbert Apple.

     Janet had cooked at many local places and retired from Stop 35.

     She was a Jeff Gordon Nascar race fan. She enjoyed cooking and baking and sharing her baked goods with others.

           There will be a visitation for family and friends at Richfield Life Ministries on Friday, May 13 beginning at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Benner officiating.

     Interment will be in Academia Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
