Harold "Gene" O'Donnell

     Harold “Gene” O’Donnell, Sr., 76, of Mifflintown, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

     Born Jan. 6, 1945, in the family home in Licking Creek Valley, he was a son of the late Andrew Leroy and Clara (Fisher) O’Donnell.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rebecca "Becky" (Wagner) O’Donnell, whom he married April 29, 1966, six sons, Jeffrey, Timothy and wife, Gwendolyn, Harold “Junior” and wife, Jennifer, Allen and wife, Jennifer, John and wife, Jerri, and Jason, and one brother, Ralph O’Donnell. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Robert O’Donnell and Paul Nealman and two sisters, Florence Foltz and Anna Pacholski.

     Gene was a hard worker and his job as well as his hobby was logging. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a very devoted husband and father who liked to spend time with his family.

     Following his wishes, there will be no service.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help with his final expenses to Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059, who is assisting with the cremation arrangements.
