Harold Daniel “Danny” Dumm, 77, of Mifflintown passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 10, 1944, he was a son of the late Harold David and Thelma Ruth (Yetter) Dumm.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Ann (Yohn) Dumm, whom he married April 21, 1984, one son, Daniel Aaron Dumm of Mifflintown, one brother, Eric C. Dumm and wife, Ann Marie, of Lancaster, a nephew, Andrew Dumm and wife, Jessica and their children, Maxim, Gianna, and Stella, a niece, Lauren McAter and husband, Eamonn and their daughter, Eleanor, and his brother-in-law, Ed Yohn and wife, Lori, and their daughters, Amanda and Heather.
He graduated from Juniata Joint High School and received an associate degree from Humboldt Institute, Minneapolis.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Viet Nam.
Danny owned Yetter’s Gas in Mifflintown for many years.
He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Mifflintown.
He enjoyed his trips to Hollywood. In earlier years, he and Deb enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, and taking their boat to Raystown.
Although the family will not be present, there will be a viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan 20 at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
Military honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, followed by his funeral with Pastor Frank Swartz officiating.
Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
