Gloria “Jean” Richardson, 76, of Honey Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1947 to the late Paul and Mary (Wise) Arentz.
She is survived by her husband, James M. Richardson, whom she married July 1, 2000, one daughter, Linda (Don) Moyer, one son, Joshua (Stacy) Long, one step-daughter, Lisa Richardson, six grandchildren, one step-grandson, five great-grandchildren, and seven siblings, Dave (Connie) Arentz, Kim Frampton, Stephen Arentz, Patrick (Becky) Arentz, Johnny Arentz, Patricia Arentz Snyder, and Caprice (Tom) French.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James “Jamie” Long on May 12, 1990.
Jean attended Juniata Joint High School.
She worked at Empire Kosher and retired from Ross’s Distribution Center, Carlisle.
Jean enjoyed watching old movies, playing solitaire on her computer. Jean loved her family and she loved a good book.
Her service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Judy Rowles officiating. Interment will follow in East Waterford Cemetery.
There will be a viewing from noon until the time of the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
