Gloria J. (Kinsloe) Swailes

     Gloria J. Swailes, 87, of Mifflintown passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at William Penn Nursing Center, Lewistown.

     She was born May 15, 1937 in Lewistown.

     She is survived by seven children, Warren Swailes, Jr., and companion Aleta Sprenkle of Mifflintown, Kathy Marshall and husband, Walter, of Mifflin, Samuel Swailes and wife, Stacey, of McClure, Thomas Swailes of Mifflintown, Steven Swailes and wife, Sara, of McClure, Donald Swailes and wife, Patricia, of Mifflintown, and Debra Ross of Mifflintown, six siblings, Wilma Weiand and husband, Ron, Roberta Keiser and husband, Herb, Sonja Arentz, Russalee Yorks and husband, Blair Yorks Sr., Dean Kinsloe and wife, Kris, and David Kinsloe, sixteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, of 66 years, Warren D. Swailes, Sr., on January 16, 2020, her father, Russell Kinsloe, her mother, Wilma (Dean) Heaps, an infant son, Ronald, an infant daughter, Helen, one son, Timothy Swailes, two daughters-in-law, Jodie Swailes and Kathy Swailes, son-in-law, Michael Ross and one sister, Jane Schraeder.

     She was a seamstress at Juniata Garment and Orweco Frocks.

     Gloria enjoyed cooking and camping, and loved spending time with her family.

     Her viewing will be on Wednesday, Dec. 18 beginning at 10 a.m. at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with her funeral at 11 a.m. with Rev. Samuel Leister officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
