Eric Dewayne “Pete” Anderson, 54, of McAlisterville, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his home with his family.
Born Aug. 7, 1970, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Edgar Lee and Helen Frances (Butts) Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann “Susie” Walton Anderson, whom he married May 17, 2014, four children, Dalton Anderson and wife, Elizabeth, of Berkley Springs, WV, Ashley Walton of McAlisterville, Leslie Anderson of Kansas, and Tammy Anderson of Berkley Springs, WV, six grandchildren, Mason Baney, Nevaeh Walton, Scarlett Doucette, Laken Anderson, Matthew Anderson, and Baby Anderson on the way, three siblings, David Anderson and wife, Janet, Patricia Loizos and husband, Nick, and Ricky Anderson and wife, Leigh, all of WV, his grand fur baby, Ivy, and several nieces and nephews. He also considered his childhood friends, Brad Arvin, Walter McGowan, and Victor Silvers, Jr. and several others, all from West Virginia, as his brothers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joey Anderson,, one granddaughter, Gabriella “Gabby” Baney, and two of his fur babies, Trucker and Serenity, who were his best friends.
Pete was an owner-operator long haul truck driver.
He loved spending time with his adult children and his grandchildren, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the great outdoors.
He was Methodist by faith.
The family is following his wishes to be cremated and is planning a memorial service in the future.
