Eric "Holmes" Lynn Zook

    Eric Lynn “Holmes” Zook 39, of Mifflintown, entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville with his parents by his side.

     He was born Feb. 3, 1981, in Lewistown.

     He is survived by his parents, Gerald G. “Jerry” and Denise (Settle) Zook, Jr., one brother, Jason Zook and wife, Jen, his paternal grandfather, Gerald G. Zook, Sr., his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Settle, and a very special niece and nephew, Ashlin Zook and Ryan Zook, all of Mifflintown.

     He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Settle, his grandmother, Margaret (Gill) Zook, and two uncles, George Settle, Jr. and Robert A. Zook.

     Eric graduated from Juniata High School in 1999. He worked for ACPI, Fox’s Pizza and the Weis Market.

     He was a member of Mexico Full Gospel Mission and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union 426.

     He enjoyed shopping, baking, hunting, and camping at Cowan’s Gap. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed going to Knoebels Amusement Park, especially when he could take Ashlin and Ryan.

     His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 6, at Mexico Full Gospel Mission with Pastor Charles McKee officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.

     There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, at the Mexico Full Gospel Mission and from 9 a.m. until the time of the services Monday at the church.
