Ellwood L. Miller, 90, of Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at his home.
Born Nov. 9, 1933 in Mifflin, he was a son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Nipple) Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosalie (Yorks) Miller, whom he married Jan. 20, 1962, one son, Clinton Miller and wife, Jamie, of Mifflin, one daughter, Natalie and husband, Donald “Bud” Fogleman II, of Mifflintown, three sisters, Bernice Naylor of McAlisterville, Velma Varner of McAlisterville, and Madeline Kramer of Mifflin, one brother, Darwin P. Miller of Lebanon, and seven grandchildren, Donald, Colton, Luke and Ross Fogleman and Hope, Grace, and Evan Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Showers and two brothers, Charles Miller and Wayne Miller.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from February 10, 1954 to February 10, 1956.
Ellwood was a meat cutter at Giant Food Stores in Mifflin County.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown.
He enjoyed reading, trout fishing, and hunting, and was a Cardinals baseball and Eagles and Penn State football fan.
His service and interment in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Samuel Leister officiating.
