Elijah D. “Eli” Fry, 24, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at his home near Mifflintown.
He was born Feb. 13, 1998 in Harrisburg.
He is survived by his mother, Michelle Detra and her companion, Tony Kauffman, of Thompsontown, his father, Michael Fry of Mifflintown, three children, Maylee Fry of Mifflintown, Leilynn Gates of Thompsontown, and Hannalee Fry of Mifflintown, one brother, Zachary Fry, his grandfather, Barry Detra, his grandmother, Diane Fry, his great-grandmothers, Vivian Fry and Pearl Swartz, and many aunts, uncles and other family.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dianne Detra, his step-father, Harry Murphy, and his great-grandfathers, Larry Fry and Ken Swartz.
Eli was a logger and enjoyed cutting wood, even in his spare time.
He was always working on mechanical things, and fixing things up. He was a very creative woodworker and whittler who especially enjoyed using cedar wood. He dearly loved his children and spending time with them.
His private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to help with his final expenses be made to Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059 who has care of the arrangements.
